CVW's mission is to ensure that no one in the community feels lonely, hungry, or frightened, striving to provide a "hand up" rather than just a handout.
Operating from locations such as Snug Coffee Shop, The Sycamore Centre, and The Pantri, CVW offers services including food support, social inclusion activities, baby bank, and transportation to medical appointments among many other things. The charity emphasises collaboration with local businesses, other charities, and council-driven campaigns to maximise community impact.
Homeless Street Angels
Founded in 2016, Homeless Street Angels officially gained charity status in October 2019 — a significant milestone in their mission to support the homeless and marginalised across Leeds.The organisation believes that everyone has the capacity for change, and that individuals experiencing homelessness can reach their full potential when provided with a safe, supportive, empowering, and non-judgemental environment. Their vision is to offer exactly that — along with meaningful activities designed to help break the cycle of homelessness.
